In this class you will learn to needle felt a black-capped chickadee. Needle felting uses a barbed needle to condense wool fibers, allowing you to shape the wool.
You will learn how to make an armature to provide internal structure, layer and sculpt wool to create the chickadee’s signature round body, delicate wings, and distinctive black cap. Techniques for adding fine details, such as facial markings and feather textures, will also be covered.
All materials are provided.
